Easy vocals:
Go to the audio set up menu and turn down the volume on everything except vocals, and turn down the mic volume on the controller. If you leave the mic close to the speakers, you can get almost 100% on all spoken words songs. This works for the following spoken word songs: 'Sabotage' and 'So Whatcha Want' by the Beastie Boys, 'Give It Away' by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and 'Testify' by Rage Against the Machine.
Video Shoot menu:
Turn on the "Select Venue Screen" option, then go to the "Modify Game" menu and select the "New Venues Only" option. Begin in Quickplay mode and select a song. A "Video Shoot" option will sometimes appears at the top of the "Select Venue" menu. Press Up to display it. These options will be "Indie Genius Video Shoot", "High-Budget Video Shoot" or "Film Student Video Shoot". Select one of them to play with the corresponding alternate background.
Unlocking songs quickly:
Select "Tour" in "Tour Challenges" mode and complete the five decade challenges from 1960s through the 2000s. After completing the ten songs from the challenges, you will unlock all other songs.
"Bachman-Turner Award" trophy hint:
Go online or with friends and have two guitarists and a drummer while making sure all players' Overdrives are filled to the maximum. Have the drummer go first and activate his. Right before his meter runs out, have the guitarist activate theirs. Just before theirs ends, have the bassist activate theirs. Each player will keep it going during the duration of the song, earning as you burn overdrive. Pay attention to each others' meters. At the end of the song you will unlock the trophy.
"Band Savior" trophy hint:
While playing with at least two other players, have one band member fail two times, bring them back in, and have the other band member fail one time and bring them back.
"Flawless Drumming" trophy hint:
-If you are online, download the song "Charlene I'm Right Behind You" by Stephen and the Colberts. The drum line is easy, even under the Expert difficulty. Simply practice a couple times and you will
-Download the song "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes. The beat is easy but requires a lot of foot pedal at a steady pace. Practice a couple times to unlock the trophy easily.
-Download and play Nirvana's "Polly" under the Expert difficulty setting. There are only three notes.
"Flawless Groove" trophy hint:
Have lefty flip on. Pick "So Watcha Want" from the Beastie Boys. Select the bass under the Expert difficulty setting and play the song. The song only has green notes.
"Flawless Guitar Solo" trophy hint:
-This trick is easy if you have songs from the original Rock Band transferred to Rock Band 2. If so, choose "Wave Of Mutilation" from the Pixies and play the song with the Rock Band (not the Guitar Hero) guitar. The solo is only around fifteen notes and are orange and blue. Use the solo buttons to play them.
-Play the song "Give it Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers. There are three solos, and the first one is very simple. Just play on the solo buttons from the start of the song until you get to it.
"Flawless Singing" trophy hint:
Go to Quick Play or Tour mode and have the microphone available. Choose "So Watcha Want" by the Beastie Boys under the Expert difficulty setting. When the song begins, put the microphone up to your speaker(s) and hold it there for the duration of the song. The only thing you will have to do is yell to activate Overdrive when it appears and tap the microphone for the solo parts. When the song ends you will have a 100% rank and gold stars. Note: Make sure your volume is loud enough. Note: For just a gold star, select "Give It Away" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and do the same thing. You will get a 99% rank without singing. If you want a 100% rank on that song you must be able to hit the last phrase in the song.
"Million Point Club" trophy hint:
Choose "Foreplay/Longtime" by Boston. Two players must be able to play under the Expert difficulty setting and one player on at least the Medium difficulty setting. End the song with at least 97% each and you will have well over a million points
"Victory" trophy hint:
Choose Score Duel or Tug Of War mode. Plug in a second instrument and just play one. You will unlock the trophy just for winning.

Along for the Ride - Beat an instrument-specific challenge while playing another instrument.
Band Savior - Was a savior 3 times during a single song.
Beat It! - Completed all beats at 60BPM or higher, or half of the beats at 140BPM or higher.
Challenge Master - Completed either 25 challenges on hard, or 10 challenges on expert.
Challenge Novice - Completed either 25 challenges on medium, 10 challenges on hard, or 5 challenges on expert.
Clothes to the Edge - Bought over $100,000 worth of items from the rock shop.
Comeback Kid - Defeated the last player that defeated you in either score duel or tug of war.
East Coast Performer - Played a set on the east coast of north america.
Eastern European Performer - Played a set in eastern europe.
Fill Legend - Completed all fills at 100BPM or higher, or half of the fills at 180BPM or higher.
Fill Me In - Completed all fills at 60BPM or higher, or half of the fills at 140BPM or higher.
Flawless Drumming - Scored 100% notes hit as a drummer on expert.
Flawless Fretwork - Scored 100% notes hit as a guitarist on expert.
Flawless Groove - Scored 100% notes hit as a bassist, up-strums only, on expert.
Flawless Guitar Solo - 100% on a guitar solo on expert, using only the solo buttons.
